Discover the bizarre world of the mangroves - A forest growing in the sea, crabs climbing up trees and fishes living on land!

Join us for a leisurely walk through one of the last remaining mangrove forests in Singapore. Discover a life, governed by the rhythm of the tides. Our guide, Robert Heigermoser, will introduce us to the mangrove ecosystem and provide insights into the various adaptations plants and animals have developed to eke out a living in this rather harsh environment. You will have an opportunity to observe typical denizens of the mangroves, such as tree-climbing crabs, mudskippers or monitor lizards up close. We might see some of the migratory birds that make a stop in these wetlands. And with a bit of luck, you may even spot one of the resident crocodiles!

We are organizing this nature walk both on Saturday afternoon April 1 & Sunday morning April 2. Separate events are created for each day, so please select the event date of your preference.

  • Saturday afternoon April 1 : register here
  • Sunday morning April 2: register here
