One-off TOUR!

On this tour we will follow the historical events which lead to the fall of Singapore on the 15th of February 1942 in the hands of the Japanese during WWII. This is an exceptional tour, both in subject and duration, taking us by bus to the Eastern side of Singapore where we will visit some hard to reach and often overlooked sites so grab the opportunity and come along to learn about another part of Singapore and its history from our experienced guide.

We will start at Changi Prison where at some point more than 10,000 POWs and civilian internees were imprisoned after the fall of Singapore. Our visit to the Changi Chapel and museum which replaces the old prison, will give us a chance to learn about the hardship of the prisoners and how they managed to keep up their spirits to survive.

After a short break we will drive to see the replica of the Monster Gun at the Johor Battery, one of six guns that were installed in record time to protect Singapore but in the end never managed to play any significant role in protecting the island.

Our last stop will be the Changi Beach Massacre site where the ethnic cleansing known as Sook Ching took place.

Your fee includes a 4-hour guided tour and the bus. Entrance fee to the Changi Chapel Museum (S$8 per person, free for PR's and Singapore Citizens) is to be paid separately at the museum entrance.

For logistical reasons we need you to sign up before Sunday, February 23rd at 11PM.
